Privacy policy

The short version

Type.biz has no accounts and collects no personal information about your typing. Your test results, personal bests, lesson progress and daily-challenge streak are stored in your own browser (localStorage) on your own device, and are never sent to us.

What is stored on your device

• Personal best scores per test mode.
• A short history of your recent test results (speed and accuracy only — never the text you typed elsewhere; test texts come from our own word lists).
• Which lessons you have completed.
• Your daily-challenge streak count and last played date.

You can erase all of it at any time by clearing site data for type.biz in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate website analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) that count page views without identifying individual visitors and without advertising cookies.

Advertising

Type.biz is free and supported by advertising. Ad partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have consented. You can control ad personalisation in your browser settings or via your ad partner's settings pages (for Google: adssettings.google.com). Advertising partners never receive your typing results, which never leave your device.

Children

The kids' pages collect nothing beyond the on-device data described above. No information about children is transmitted to or stored by us.
