The top row: where real words live
Q W E R T Y U I O P — the row above home base. Learn it and most everyday English words are suddenly within reach.
Same fingers, one row up
Every top-row key belongs to the finger that rests below it on the home row: your left index handles R and stretches for T; your right index handles U and stretches for Y; middle fingers take E and I; ring fingers W and O; pinkies Q and P. Reach up, press, and snap back to F and J.
The four top-row lessons
- Lesson 6 — R and U: index fingers reach up.
- Lesson 7 — E and I: real words arrive — "fire", "ride", "field".
- Lesson 8 — W and O: "word", "work", "lower", "world".
- Lesson 9 — Q P T Y: pinky reaches and index stretches complete the row.
